As a child, I have fond memories huddled around the television watching professional wrestling with my father and older brother. It usually led to roughhousing on the sofa and pillow fights late into the evening. Needless to say, I became obsessed with professional wrestling. As an avid comic book collector, I saw these performers as superheroes that came to life. The passion play of professional wrestling was always about good vs. evil, which was a theme I could identify with.
For this project, I wanted to go back to those days and explore my love of professional wrestling from the late 1980's. I wanted to capture the larger-than-life personalities, unique characters, and vibrant colors that captured my imagination all those years ago.
