Welsh Government Rebrand

The focus of this project was on a series UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Wales and their related promotional materials. I was tasked with creating an entirely new rebrand of these castles and the government organization that manages them.

The project centers on the four castles of Harlech, Conwy, Beaumaris, and Caernarfon. These locations stand out as perfect examples of medieval architecture. They are massive, impressive works of military engineering and huge points of pride for the Welsh people.

The Welsh Castle Authority is a complete rebrand of the government organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of all castles in Wales. Currently, the Welsh national park system manages these sites, and this rebrand marks a division within that organization. The four sites included in this project are the first to fall under its jurisdiction because of their significance on a global scale. The Welsh Castle Authority works closely with the UNESCO World Heritage Organization in order to properly manage and maintain these iconic structures.

Examples in this rebrand include travel brochures for the various castles, new logos for the different departments and highway road signs. I also designed clothing patches for maintenance crews and maps for tourists.

Programs used for this project: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
